Ningaloo Vision M7 & ITR Package Upgrades

Oceania Engineering Services (OES) were engaged by Quadrant Energy Limited to provide reliability and operational enhancements to HVAC systems serving process critical areas of the Ningaloo Vision FPSO.

This year-long project, began with OES performing site surveys to inspect the existing systems and consulting with the operations team regarding reliability and performance improvements required.

The execution phase included functional logic upgrades with modifications to the PLC-based control system and replacement of field instruments in the refrigeration circuit.

The most significant challenges involved the retrofitting of new heat exchangers with improved refrigerant distribution within the air-handling sections of the plant and addressing oil management issues.

As the works focused on process critical areas of an operating oil & gas facility, safety protocols and shutdown coordination were paramount for the successful completion of the project.
