Woodside NGY FPSO Chiller Replacement

OES have successfully completed the installation and commissioning of a replacement 800 kW Carrier Marine enhanced chiller for the Ngujima-Yin FPSO on behalf of Woodside Energy Limited. This campaign was the final phase of a complex year-long planning and logistics exercise given the chiller was required to be tested prior to full disassembly onshore, then shipped separately and reassembled offshore on an operating oil & gas facility.

The project complexities included the decommissioning and dismantling of the existing plant, handling of bulky equipment through narrow areas of the ship whilst catering for dynamic ship motions & accelerations, ending with the installation and assembly of the replacement chiller.

This project required seamless coordination of multiple offshore disciplines through several high risk activities to achieve a safe and successful outcome. Upon completion of installation, OES successfully commissioned and handed over the system to operations.
